Take Me Somewhere

Take Me Somewhere is a coming-soon iPhone app for spontaneous local outings. You tell it how much time you have, pick a vibe, and it helps you find a nearby walk, route, compass outing, or mystery destination.

It exists for the little gaps in a day when you want to go outside, but do not want to plan a route from scratch. The goal is to make a small walk feel easier to begin and a little more memorable once you are moving.

Routes, distance, ETA, and map geometry should come from real map and routing data, not invented directions. The first version is walking-first, with riding and driving as possible future modes.
