Take Me Somewhere Terms of Service
Effective Date: 2026-06-06
Version: 1.0.0
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Take Me Somewhere iPhone app, the Take Me Somewhere pages on alekjaltuszyk.xyz, support channels, App Store surfaces, and related services that link to these Terms (together, the “Service”).
By downloading, accessing, tapping to accept, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Take Me Somewhere.

2. Eligibility And Responsibility
You may use Take Me Somewhere only if you can form a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you. If you are not old enough to agree to these Terms or to consent to location use by yourself, you may use the Service only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.
You are responsible for your device, your route decisions, your surroundings, and your compliance with local laws, traffic rules, private-property rules, venue rules, transit rules, and official signage.
3. What Take Me Somewhere Does
Take Me Somewhere helps you choose a time budget, choose a vibe or destination, and receive a nearby route, destination, or compass-guided outing. The app may include Route Mode, Compass Mode, destination reveal controls, route progress, map display, external map handoff, and related settings.
The app is intended to make spontaneous local outings easier to start. It is not intended to guarantee the best, safest, shortest, most scenic, most accessible, or most current route.
4. Location, Routes, And Safety
Take Me Somewhere is an exploration companion, not an emergency service, professional navigation service, safety system, autonomous control system, or substitute for your judgment.
You agree that:
- you remain responsible for deciding whether a route, destination, crossing, street, trail, venue, or outing is safe and lawful
- you will obey traffic laws, signs, closures, private-property rules, and instructions from authorities
- you will stay aware of vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians, terrain, weather, lighting, construction, closures, accessibility conditions, and other real-world risks
- you will not rely on the app for emergency response, rescue, medical decisions, dangerous travel, or safety-critical navigation
- you will stop using the app if doing so would distract you or create risk
Map data, place data, routes, estimated times, distances, opening status, and directions can be incomplete, delayed, inaccurate, unavailable, or unsuitable for your situation. Conditions can change after a route is generated.
5. Spatial Truth And AI Limits
Take Me Somewhere is designed so route geometry, ETA, distance, bearing, map display, and route feasibility come from deterministic app logic and map or routing providers, not from AI-generated directions.
If AI assistance is introduced or enabled, it should be limited to tasks such as understanding intent, explaining candidates, or recommending among app-scored options. AI output may still be incomplete or wrong. Do not treat AI text as a source of spatial truth, safety advice, legal advice, or official route status.
6. Your License To Use The App
Subject to these Terms and applicable App Store terms, we grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Take Me Somewhere on devices you own or control, as permitted by Apple’s usage rules and any applicable platform terms.
We reserve all rights not expressly granted. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, scrape, interfere with, or misuse the app, website, support channels, or related systems except where applicable law gives you a non-waivable right to do so.
7. Apple And Platform Terms
If you get Take Me Somewhere through the App Store, your use is also subject to Apple Media Services terms, App Store rules, and any applicable Apple standard or custom end-user license terms.
You and we acknowledge that:
- these Terms are between you and us, not Apple
- we are responsible for the app and its content, subject to these Terms
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app
- Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, for an app that fails to conform to an applicable warranty, to the extent Apple is responsible under its rules
- Apple is not responsible for product claims, legal compliance claims, intellectual-property claims, or claims relating to your use or possession of the app
- you must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the app
- Apple and Apple’s subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you as third-party beneficiaries
8. Third-Party Services And Map Providers
Take Me Somewhere may use or link to third-party services, including Apple MapKit, Apple Local Search, Apple Maps, OpenStreetMap-derived services, Overpass endpoints, Google Maps Platform services if configured, App Store services, email providers, website hosting providers, and external websites.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and policies. We do not control third-party maps, routes, place databases, opening hours, reviews, ratings, road or trail data, traffic information, platform rules, provider outages, or external websites.
You must not use Take Me Somewhere in a way that violates third-party service terms, provider attribution requirements, map-data licenses, App Store rules, or applicable law.
9. Accounts, Payments, And Purchases
Take Me Somewhere does not currently require an account. If accounts, paid features, subscriptions, trials, or one-time purchases are added later, the app and App Store metadata should explain the relevant purchase terms before purchase.
App Store purchases, refunds, family sharing, taxes, payment methods, and purchase-history issues are handled by Apple or the relevant platform provider. We do not receive full payment-card details from Apple.
10. Privacy
The Take Me Somewhere Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled. By using the Service, you acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
Location data is sensitive. You should review app permission prompts, iOS location settings, and the Privacy Policy before using route features.
11. Support
Support is available by email through the support page. We may ask for details such as your device model, OS version, app version, what you were trying to do, what happened, and any relevant route context.
We try to provide helpful support, but we do not guarantee response times, availability, bug fixes, feature changes, route corrections, map-provider corrections, or compatibility with every device, OS version, region, or provider.
12. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- use Take Me Somewhere unlawfully or dangerously
- use the app while driving, riding, crossing streets, or moving in a way that makes app use unsafe
- trespass, enter restricted areas, ignore closures, or violate local rules because of an app suggestion
- harass, threaten, abuse, or mislead support channels
- interfere with, overload, probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or disrupt the app, website, provider integrations, or support systems
- bypass legal acceptance, permission prompts, provider restrictions, App Store rules, or access controls
- use the app to plan or commit harm, stalking, harassment, unlawful surveillance, or illegal activity
- submit false, harmful, abusive, infringing, or unlawful content through support or related channels
13. Your Content And Feedback
You keep your rights in support messages, feedback, screenshots, route descriptions, or other content you choose to send us. You give us permission to use that content as reasonably needed to respond, troubleshoot, improve reliability, protect the Service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.
If you send ideas, suggestions, or feedback, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation, unless we separately agree otherwise in writing.
14. Intellectual Property
Take Me Somewhere, including its app design, code, branding, text, visual style, and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws.
Map data, place data, provider marks, platform marks, Apple marks, Google marks, OpenStreetMap data, and third-party content remain owned by their respective owners and may be subject to separate licenses, terms, attribution requirements, and usage restrictions.
15. Changes, Availability, And Discontinuation
Take Me Somewhere is still developing. We may add, change, limit, suspend, remove, or discontinue features, providers, supported regions, supported travel modes, route-generation behavior, website pages, support channels, or the app itself.
We may do this for reasons including safety, privacy, provider availability, cost, platform rules, legal compliance, technical limits, product direction, abuse prevention, or discontinuation of the app.
16. Legal Document Updates
We may update these Terms or the Privacy Policy from time to time. The version and effective date appear at the top of the relevant page and in the hosted legal manifest at https://alekjaltuszyk.xyz/apps/TakeMeSomewhere/legal-manifest.json.
If a legal document changes, the app may require you to review and accept the current document versions before continuing. Continuing to use the Service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms, unless applicable law requires a different form of notice or consent.
17. Warranty Disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Take Me Somewhere is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, reliability, safety, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.
We do not warrant that routes, places, directions, map data, distances, ETAs, compass guidance, opening status, provider data, or app suggestions will be accurate, current, safe, lawful, accessible, or suitable for you.
Some laws do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of this section may not apply to you.
18. Limitation Of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, device availability, route opportunity, personal plans, or other intangible losses arising out of or related to the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or related to the Service will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid us directly for Take Me Somewhere in the 12 months before the claim or 50 EUR.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for intentional misconduct or liability where applicable consumer law gives you non-waivable rights.
19. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising out of or related to your misuse of the Service, your breach of these Terms, your violation of law or third-party rights, or content you send through support or related channels.
This section does not apply where prohibited by applicable consumer-protection law.
20. Suspension Or Termination
Because Take Me Somewhere does not currently use accounts, we usually cannot suspend a local account. We may still stop providing, update, remove, block, or limit access to the app, website, support channels, provider integrations, or features where reasonably needed to operate the Service, comply with law or platform rules, protect users, respond to misuse, or end support for a feature.
You may stop using Take Me Somewhere at any time and may delete the app from your device.
21. Governing Law And Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless the mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country or region require otherwise.
Where legally permitted, disputes relating to these Terms or the Service will be brought in the competent courts of Poland. If you are a consumer, you may also have rights to bring claims in your country or region of residence under mandatory local law.
Before starting a formal dispute, please contact support so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
22. General Terms
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented in the app or App Store metadata, form the agreement between you and us for Take Me Somewhere.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts remain in effect. We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, asset transfer, or similar event. You may not assign your rights or obligations without our prior written consent, except where applicable law allows otherwise.
Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
